Urban Hiking - Clear Creek Trail, Silverdale, WA (2-19-2011) (About 8 miles with 100 ft elve gain)
It was such a nice day that we have not had for
a while. All blue sky with 10-20 knots of strong winds. It might be in low 40s
but the wind chill factor made it probably high 30s.
Yearning for some hiking, managed to power hike
the Clear Creek Trail right down the street. I did not do the whole trail down
to the waterfront (Dyes Inlet) but made a big loop. I probably hiked about 8
miles with 100 ft elev gain. Some new works were done nicely to the trail next
to the Skateboard/Dog Park: built 3 new bridges and planted trees. Met about 7
parties and a bunch of people at the dog park. The dog park next to the Skateboard Park was newly built in last 6 months or
so.
